The Worst Day for a Couponer

Well the worst day for a couponer was today for me.  I work with a lot of small children who are very, very busy.  I took my lunch time today to cut and organize my coupons for a deal I planned to work at Publix this afternoon.  I went to my after school job and doubled checked to make sure I had all my coupons and made sure I was ready to go.  OK my after school students are constantly busy talking and moving around.  I tried to keep them quiet so that I could focus on my plan.  During the clean-up process I gathered the paper I was throwing away along with coupons that had expired.  I left the school and headed to Publix and arrived in the parking lot.  I got out the car, searched my bag only to find that I didn't have any of the coupons I had clipped for my deal.  Then I realized that I had thrown them out with the unwanted trash at school.  Boy was I so mad, but I could only laugh to hide the pain.  I didn't let that stop me I went into Publix held my head high and searched for deals I could make with store coupons and whatever coupons I had in my purse.  I was able to make a good deal, but not the one I had planned.  Oh well here's to a great couponing day at Publix.  Never give up you can always save some M-O-N-E-Y.  I will post what I scored a little later.  Leave a comment to let me know what you do when your plan doesn't come together.  How do you make a bad plan a good one?

Coupons @ Walmart

I believe Walmart is changing.  They are becoming coupon friendly.  While perusing through the store today I found coupons for Theraflu ($1.50 off).  I also saw a display where they were trying to get customers to try Jergens lotion and they were giving out coupons for $1.00 off an 8oz or larger purchase.  This is a first for me I've never seen coupons in Walmart other than the ones I bring in myself or the ones found on particular products.  I am proud to say looks like Walmart is heading in the right direction in becoming coupon friendly.

No Great Deals Lately

I'm just sitting around gathering my coupons for the big stock-up sales.  I find that many stores do not have great deals in January and early February because of the major holidays when stores have their largest sales.  Be aware and check your circulars weekly because the stock up sales are on the way.  I am looking forward to stocking up on canned tomatoes for soups and stews, sliced and shredded cheese.  I will keep you posted when you need to stock-up.

Kindle Fire deal @ Walmart

I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas and I l-o-v-e love it.  I can search the web, play games, read books, and many other things that I like to do in my spare time.  It is great for people on the go.  If you need a small device to keep in your purse to occupy some of your wait time the Kindle Fire is the way to go.  Walmart is currently offering a $50 gift card on a Kindle Fire purchase of $199.  The Kindle Fire sells for $199 on Amazon so this is a great way to get a gift for yourself and have money left over to purchase some groceries and other things you need around the house.  This deal is only good at Walmart store location and is good until February 14th.  Sounds like a great Valentine's Gift.
Belkin Kindle Fire 2 Pack Clear Protective Screen Overlay w/ Cleaning Cloth - Lifetime Warranty

Great Donation Item $.50 Gloves @ Target

Target has a vast selection of gloves on sale for $1.00 for two pairs.  All of the gloves have been marked down by 50%.  The weather here in Georgia has been so unpredictable that Target didn't get to sell many gloves.  If you are looking for a great donation item I believe this will be a good deal to get.  My local Target had 3 racks of these gloves, so I am going to wait to see if they will get one more markdown before I stockup.
